Pivot Point’s Field App is a native mobile application tailored for local government field appraisal tasks. The app empowers field appraisers to efficiently handle their workload, seamlessly capture and attribute images to the correct parcel, and evaluate and modify various property characteristics.

The application leverages a cloud-hosted administration site for user management, dataset configuration including data import and export, and data review. The admin site facilitates importing a master parcel list along with 3-5 supporting attributes such as address, owner, classification, zoning, and appraised value. Typically sourced from a Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system export.

The basic app level allows users to search by parcel ID, address, or the user’s location. Location-based searches use GPS data from the device to identify nearby parcels, generating a list sorted by proximity. On selecting a parcel, users can review the pertinent attributes integrated into the system from the CAMA database and access hyperlinks to additional web-based resources for more information. Users can then navigate to the location using lat-long or address search via the device's native mobile application. When on-site, users can capture property images with location and heading details, specify structure type, add text descriptions, designate primary images, and take parcel-level notes.

The advanced app level features Work Order functionality enabling users to select a batch of parcels for field review (typically 25-50 parcels). These selections are typically made in the CAMA system through custom selection and export processes that include more comprehensive fields and supporting data than the basic level attributes. Users can upload exported work order data via the admin site, assign work to specific usernames in their group, manually search and allocate parcels to work orders, include reviewer notes, and establish priority rankings.

While certain functions of the app necessitate internet connectivity (like live routing, hyperlinked web resources, interactive mapping), its core features are optimized for offline usage. Users download all assigned data over Wi-Fi in the office and upload images, notes, and attribute edits upon returning from fieldwork; driving subsequent export-import processes with their CAMA system.
